Origami Lily Flower

Here are two origami lilies.

For instructions on making your own, click below.

Start with a square of origami.

Fold in half and in half again.

Open one fold and squash into a triangle.

Complete the triangle on both sides.

Open up one triangle flap and squash into the above kite shape.

Open and fold the remaining three triangles into the kite shape.

Take the two bottom corners of one layer and fold until they meet in the center.

Complete this fold on the remaining three sides. Notice the crease in the center of the diamond. Fold entire diamond in half and unfold to make a crease.

Now unfold one of the sides you just folded. (bottom corners meeting in the center) And open up the bottom and bring toward top to make a smaller kite shape.

Smaller kite shape.

Complete this fold on the remaining 3 sides.

Now take the top flap and fold it down. Do this to all of the sides to make a seamless diamond shape.

Take the sides of the top of the diamond and fold to meet in the center.

Do this for all remaining sides.

Fold the Petals down and crease.

If you wish you can curl the petals around a pencil.

Enjoy!
